
This is an American Five-Lined Skink (Eumeces fasciatus), particularly the eastern red-headed one. Of course this might also be the southeastern five-lined skink (Eumeces expectatus) since both of these skinks look very much alike when still young and have a conveniently overlapping range in which I so happen to live. If you're a reptile expert please tell me, as I am not.
