They normally are because unfortunately my tablet is a little old and has a lot of microscratches on it that the pen will follow, so I do admittedly have to spend a decent amount of time cleaning it up, but I have to do that regardless so it's not like it takes as much time as lineart would have been xP
Ohh o3o I can relate ,w, my first tablet was loaded with scratches because I just wouldn't stop drawing on that thing, thankfully as the upgrades have come the plastics (eventually Glass) have become more resistant to the scratches, but that's understandable x3 even if it's erasing the scraggly bits, still faster than doing a perfect line, do you use a stabilizer with it too?
Ahh I don't have the money for anything much better than what I have lol x-x
Kinda depends! When sketching, the only thing I'll use the stabilizer for is something like whiskers. When doing lineart I also use it, for example, for the tufts of hair on Otus's head/cheeks/chin, things that will look more natural as a pen stroke. Most other things I use SAI's curve tool, which is part of why lineart takes me so long but I like that it's fairly easy and gives you very smooth, clean lines without too much hassle (not that it's perfect...).
Do you mind describing how you do lineart in your work?

Fair enough, I remember being in the same position, heck, even relied on Sai to make all the artwork, though I know what you mean, pen strokes and Sai's vectors are a bit, funky .3. the tablet basically worked as a mouse when ever I had to make lineart because I couldn't get them drawn down right, it'd make too many control points.
As for how I do lineart now, I'm using CSP's (Clip Studio Paint) vector layers for lineart, they have a handy feature that lets you delete intersecting lines making corners infinitely easier to draw, and don't make a billion points when you draw with a pen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4UopyLEIYU stabilizer is still on of course, but because the lines are vectors I can use a pinch tool to tweak the lines if they're slightly off, you can do the same in Sai ^^ although it's a bit clunkier, but yeah, that's pretty much what I do for lines, and it takes way longer the more lines I have owo no matter how quick the vectors are...

Personally, I don't think so o3o between Pro and Ex, the extra features only benefit comic creation, with page management, auto-sketch conversion of models, and animations longer than a second long, otherwise you pretty much get the full thing with pro, I've only ever used pro and it does everything
