This is one of several busts that I'm making for several of my friends, for varying reasons.
Lunar Keys... Well, I tried to make him as anatomically accurate as possible, to help distinguish him from the vaporeon's that he is so commonly mistaken for...
For one thing, he has blue-silver skin, rather than the teal of a Vappy... However, many variations of skin color exist, so teal is possible. Also the ears, while resembling piscene fins, are shaped more life elf ears, and are less splayed out than a vaporeon's are... Also, note no neck frill, or vertical fin on the head.
Finally, gills! :D I don't think I've seen gills on a vaporeon, before... o. o
Another detail, that isn't present here, are long, streamlined fins that attach to the forearms and calves, to assist in steering while swimming... Vaps don't have those on their paws! :)
Aside from that, sure, there are some similarities, but the funny thing is, Key's character has been around since before Pokemon Existed!
I thought it was a massive injustice that he keep being mistaken for one.
Eventually, I plan to do a full-blown picture for him, showing arms, legs, fins, tail, etc.
He's also part of a very robust storytelling world that is a lot of fun to listen to...!
Oh. and a gorgeous swimmer's build is par for the course for his race.
Also, Most luminari are around seven to nine feet tall, but keys here is a runt at normal human height... around five and a half feet! But believe me, that doesn't put him at any major disadvantage...
The further you go into the ocean, the bigger and more feral looking luminari get... He is actually one who prefer's life on land, which is why it is suggested his skin went so pale, and he grew so little, but no-one really knows for sure.
Alrighty, I think that covers it for things that I haven't mentioned about him in the past...!
Expect more busts of more interesting characters some time in the immediate future...
