if reforming was possible in that world do you think the animals would keep those dumb but delicious humans around somehow?

Maybe. Tame Camp shows that an agreement can be reached where people show up and sometimes feed themselves to preds. In any event, humans greatly outnumber the preds,in this setting, so it’s more a question of whether they would keep the preds around.
