General Appearance: Thanks to his dad’s heritage he’s relatively short for his age. With his stature, soft, cuddly fur, and generally cute appearance he looks like he could be seven or eight years old and can pull off the act very convincingly. He normally has that childlike “Me? I’m too innocent to do anything wrong!” look about him and tries to keep that up as much as possible for public appearances. He tries to take meticulous care of his fur, giving it a slight shine and luster, all except for few curls that stick out in a cute little cowlick at the top of his head that refuse to stay down he keeps all his fur in strict order.

Clothing Style: He normally wears clothes in keeping with the “Cute and innocent little kid” image he tries to project around people, normally consisting of t shirts and shorts or jeans. He’s not picky about the colors of his clothes but he does have an odd quirk in the fact he has a collection of T shirts themed on the colors and features of eevee and it’s evolutions that he absolutely loves. It’s normal to see him wearing a different eeveelution shirt almost daily… though he tends not to wear his eevee shirt till he REALLY needs to be cute.

Personality: In public Petie plays to his cute and childish looks, acting in a way that makes the little guy as endearing and pleasant as the little sibling you actually LIKE to have around. Unfortunately this is all an act… sort of. In reality he uses his cuteness and his childish act to trick people in to doing things for him and to get away with things… or at least he did. He’s been doing it as long now that acting cute in public has become a natural reflex; he actually has to consciously fight to keep from doing it. When not playing to the cute angle Petie tends to be scheming and tricky, trying to think about how to get an advantage out of any kind of situation, but he’s only about half as clever as he gives himself credit for. He’d like to think he’s ruthless and effective, in reality he actually has a strong conscious and would never be able to do anything that would cause harm to somebody or make them unhappy. In fact he’s been known to lend himself out as a soft fuzzy shoulder to cry on to anyone who seems sad… he’s not even sure himself whether this is caused by his “Cute” persona or not. He does tend to try and act “Cool” whenever he’s able to keep from acting cute… normally it just makes him look foolish or worse yet even cuter. He also has an ego and pride about as fragile as a soap bubble, immediately becoming sad and sulky at the slightest insult or critic, no matter how well meaning or what the comments original intentions were.

History: Born in the hustle and bustle of Saffron City Petie grew up watching his older brother and sister excelling and achieving far beyond all expectations in both studies and strength. His brother is currently a star coordinator on the contest circuit and his eldest sister is studying abroad at one of the worlds foremost technology institutes. Seeing all this convinced young Petie of one thing, if he tried to use his own strength and talents to reach the level his siblings had set he’d surely fail. He knew he didn’t have nearly the raw amounts of skill and talent his siblings had, so he decided he’d have to trick his way to success and manipulate as many people as possible to reach that level. What he didn’t realize was the simple fact his parents didn’t care if he ever reached his older siblings level of success, they merely wanted him to be happy. When Petie was about seven his parents decided that after raising their last two children in the unending hustle and bustle of the big city that it might be best for their youngest to grow up somewhere a little quieter, so they moved from the big city to the somewhat smaller one of Viridian. Petie quickly adapted to living there and soon was back to old habits, whether he really wanted to be or not. While he wasn’t the straight A’s, natural born genius his siblings were he wasn’t a drop out, and he found himself with good enough grades and scores to be able to attend the prestigious PCA… and he’s going to milk this opportunity for all it’s worth.

Fighting Style: Thanks to Petie’s odd quirk of acting cute when in public fights with him tend to be really, really odd spectacles to watch, often described as “A fight with that crazy, bipolar teddy bear.” In battle he violently swings in and out from his normal “Cute, adorable, and cuddly” routine and using Charm to lower his opponents guard to his “Scheming and trick”, side and using his small stature and size to avoid their blows. His normal strategy involves going after the legs of the opponent and trying to knock them down so he can attack them freely without his size hindering him. If he really gets into a pinch he falls back on the move his sister taught him (supposedly learning to do it from his dad) when he was little just in case he got bullied, Counter. In a pinch his last ditch attempt will always be to take the strongest psychical blow his opponent can give and hurl it back at them double the force… so far it’s only worked about once in ten attempts and that looked like a fluke. He's not sure WHY he can't seem to learn to do it right...

Miscellaneous Facts: The old teddiursa stereotype of sucking on their paws to get the taste of the sweet honey that’s soaked into them actually turns out to be true for Petie. When ever he’s sad and sulky he tends to go off and find somewhere he can be completely alone and he does this… though it’s a bit more like thumb sucking then anything else once you get down to it. When caught he’ll deny it ever happened with all his being.

Petie has a crippling fear of snakes and all snakelike mon due to a rather unpleasant encounter with a tamed seviper as a child where the over friendly serpent gave the little bear a very strong hug.

Like most of his kind he has a deep, deep loves of sweets and has no qualms against using his cuteness to bum candy off of any poor sap who will give it to him.

He’s actually well known among the theaters in town… though they don’t really know it yet. Petie long ago mastered the art of using his young and cute looks to trick the ticket guys into letting him in for free. So far he’s been alternating theaters and remembering whoever he’s used the trick on before to keep from getting caught… but it’s only a mater of time before he slips up.
