Stands-Upon-the-Rock ("Rocky" to his friends) is a large man, and this isn't surprising given that he's a wildebeest-phase minotaur; what is a little surprising is that he's a scholarly sort who's not really meant for fighting. Where there's a squishy, there's a need for a meatshield, and that's why he's got his diminutive elven friend, Branwyn! Armed with spear, shield, the occasional spell, and flattering full-body armor, she serves as Rocky's bodyguard on their various adventures. Where is Sundermeadow? I don't know, but it's probably totally metal.
Rocky's a slightly more "classical" minotaur than most since his only animal features are his head and tail; he doesn't have hooves or even that much body hair, though he does tend to fancy decorative nose jewelry. He's still a great deal bigger than Branwyn is in terms of both height and weight, despite her being in charge of protecting him. Branwyn herself is the kind of elf that kicks ass and doesn't really want to hear your poetry; her eyes are slitted because I prefer drawing fae thingies that way. It's not terribly obvious from this picture, but Rocky's clothes resemble a dungeonpunk daishiki, while Branwyn prefers a sarong and a hair flower when not stabbing bad guys in the face.
These two were created because the husband has had a thing for minotaur-on-elf axxxion since he was but a lad, and who am I to ignore a chance to design more freakin' characters? They're not from any game or setting in particular; I wanted to evoke the feel of, say, somebody's D&D campaign, but I haven't bothered even figuring out what these knuckleheads can do. They're totally BFFs, though.
Typing paper, mechanical pencil, Photoshop.
