See here I think Jinjur is biting off more than she can chew.
First off I don't think she's ever seen any sort of combat.
Second Cathy has on multiple occasions looked death right in the eye just getting to Rackenroon.
Third just by issuing this challenge Jinjur has thrown a direct challenge at the authority of the Duchess AND is spouting conspiracy (far as anyone knows) on top of that.
Fourth, and this is crucial, Jinjur is banking on a number of things with this, the biggest probably being Cathy either refusing or being woefully incompetent. And she'll get neither.

No, real scars--just gotten in a scar parlour from a professional artiste. And I'm not making this stuff up.
