When James Cameron's Avatar came out a long time ago, it is estimated it was seen by over a billion people. 13 of those people were so enamored with the beauty and wonder of Pandora that they reportedly killed themselves for want of some semblance of the same wonder here on Earth (if you think it doesn't, please note me, I'll tell you about a few). The rest of us who 'survived' the movie may still have been left with a feeling that this planet is droll by comparison, and Pandora would be a pretty spiffy place if it existed.

But just imagine how our soaring buildings and bewildering technology would seem to Pandorans. I guess we'll get a glimpse of this in the coming Avatar sequels, but 3 years ago I wanted Eski to render this in a split conceptual image. As wonderous as Pandora behind Cinnamon might seem to Rooth there on the right, Cinnamon is just as amazed by the modern wonders of Rooth's Earth behind him. Perhaps if each of us could learn to appreciate the wonders right in our own realities, there might be a little less sadness in the world.
