After several attempts, Bruvelighe finally irons out the kinks of a true hypnotic plane, lending him (and other warpjaws who've previously discovered it) a distinct edge in matters of suggestion! Limerence—hypnosis—has several useful applications, ranging from benign to malefic. Most warpjaws employ Limerence as a social tool, steering opinion towards their favor— essentially a non-violent avenue for when diplomacy fails.
For warpjaws, the process of acquiring a newer effect plane is a familiar—if not sometimes dangerous—undertaking. It begins with sending out remote "feelers" into general locations, then narrowing down the focus by repeatedly opening an off-body portal within a given area. Over time the whole process becomes rote. Eventually the warpjaw finds their intended location and plane, in some cases needing to physically visit said location to acquire it. Effect planes like Limerence—para-elemental planes—require a slightly different tack. Typically these planes cannot be visited physically, instead requiring a warpjaw to narrow down their search with near surgical precision, until finally "pulling" it forth and claiming it for their own.
For Bruvelighe, this made Limerence a doozy.
This hypnotic para-elemental plane just so happened to be the domain of some formless, cosmic horror—one with a penchant for enthralling any and all sapient life! Bruve's first attempt at claiming Limerence ended quite poorly; a portal-based misstep allowed the plane's master to remotely dominate the warpjaw, leaving him a slack jawed and vacant eyed mess for the better part of an hour! Each subsequent attempt Bruve made to seize Limerence brought him a little closer, but it also allowed his enemy to further familiarize itself with his mind. Bruve can recall the end result of a few of these pratfalls: snapping back to reality in compromising situations, and/or with several sexual exploits further added to his tally. Eventually—by sheer tenacity and stubbornness—Bruve threads the needle and opens a perfect window into Limerence, finally claiming the plane for his own!

Using its hypnotic potential, Limerence was originally intended for warpjaws to recruit other individuals to their aid and/or cause—to either fight or fulfill menial tasks on their behalf. While summon planes allow warpjaws to produce all manner of temporary companions, sometimes the best tool for the job is what's immediately available or in easy abundance. By this token, Limerence allows warpjaws to circumvent several specific planes by using unwilling (or sometimes willing) individuals surrounding them! And of course...Bruvelighe finds a way to make this an (almost) exclusively sexual tool. He uses it to bend subjects to his will and make them more pliant—from slightly peeling away certain inhibitions (e.g. making someone a little more bold or less shy) to completely dominating them (turning the dommiest top into a simpering bottom, for example)! That said—and as evidenced by Bruve's ordeal above—warpjaws are just as susceptible to Limerence and hypnotic suggestion as much as any other creature! Their unique ability hides a relatively poor mental fortitude, a weakness most wapjaws try (and usually fail) to remedy or cover up. Oddly, putting a warpjaw under hypnotic suggestion locks out their portal ability—an involuntary act of self preservation maybe? Several theories have cropped up about a secondary presence that regulates portals...
Warpjaws influence the nature of Limerence's suggestion through their own limited psionic capabilities. Primary control is administered via mental thoughts, secondary control via audible command, and tertiary control via physical touch. A combination of these methods can achieve the same end-result, but mindspeak typically yields the best returns for minimal effort. Limerence's hypnosis effect resolves itself over a period of time, but expiration can be "topped off" by repeated exposure. Maw aperture affects Limerence directly as well—as is the case with most effect planes, larger apertures have longer range and intensity, while smaller apertures boast diminished effects in both areas. However, it's worth noting that Limerence relies more on line of sight and mental nudging than size. A warpjaw's Valse form ratchet's up this effect plane's abilities even further—feral warpjaws wielding Limerence should be doubly avoided, or just plain avoided in general!
