Hawk of some kind, perhaps, riding a thermal while on the lookout for voles, ground squirrels, or something of the sort. Watched them, off and on, for over fifteen minutes. It gives me a real appreciation for the amount of optical zoom on my bridge camera that I'm able to occasionally get shots like this.
