Arrangement: Merrily We Roll Along (Merrie Melodies Theme)
A significant portion of cartoons I watched growing up involved Bugs Bunny and the whole cast of unforgettable characters that made Warner Bros. a household name. But the thing to remember is that there were two separate series of cartoons: Merrie Melodies, and Looney Tunes (although the latter sometimes is used to refer to the series as a whole). I decided to attempt to do both after being pleased with the result of my take on the Tiny Toon Adventures theme tune.
This one is "Merrily We Roll Along," used for Merrie Melodies. (The other one is called "The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down.") My instrumentation is as follows:
2 trumpets
Trombone
Tuba
Alto saxophone
Tenor saxophone
Piccolo
Glockenspiel
Vibraphone
Bass drum
Snare drum
Cymbals
Piano
