46 and Two always reminded me of Mt. Ordeals in FFIV. Cecil had to face off with his darkness to realize his true potential. Like the song and Cecil, Catt too must part with her lesser form and evolve into something greater. That chapter in her life is both a actualization of my own growth poured into Catt as well as a nod to Mt. Ordeals and the song 46 and Two.

Catt finds the Celestial Mirror, which reacts differently depending on who prays to it, and asks for it to show her how to become strong so she can protect Flickie. The mirror mutates her form, and demands she fights it, or die at the hands of her own selfishness. Barely victorious, she obtains heightened insight in herself, and finds the confidence and power to do what she must to move forward. In the wake of the mirror, her mutated form sneaks off...
