If you don't know, there is USSR Jungle Book adaptation. And it's actual adaptation, without Disneyfication. That means there is blood, death, etc.
But most importantly... Kaa. Oh dear Kaa, how i love how he's manly and chill in USSR cartoon.

I happened to catch the Russian version when it was broadcast on time on a Canadian tv kids channel, when I was young-ish. I was SUPER impressed with Russian Kaa, it was so cool that the was in the story a lot more, and a good guy, a wise mentor figure. And the animation of his snake dance was really well done, and unique. And sort of trippy, if I recall?
I managed to record most of the film on tape at the time, too, so it wasn't as though it turned into a memory of some random thing I half remembered. Anyway, my point is, ever since I saw that, I've known Russian Kaa [and book Kaa] to be superior to the mintzing Disney version [although he has his charm too].
