Silver and onyx sweater clip - $15
Another one of my co-workers wears a lot of shrugs and light sweaters, but she can’t seem to keep them on her shoulders. So, as a going-away present, I put this sweater clip together for her.
The silver beads have the weight of ball bearings, and it’s actually a pretty solid project. I glued onyx chips down first with all-purpose tacky glue and sealed it with a layer of super glue. The tacky glue didn’t dry as clear as I wanted, but I touched it up with dark gray ink.
Clip-on earrings with some minor adjustments will keep them on a sweater, and they seem to do a pretty good job. I topped them off with more glue to prevent picking any of the material.
If you’re into the spiritual energy of stones, onyx is supposed to be good for protection and preventing negative drains on your life and energy.
I’ll be happy to make one for you or a sweater-wearing friend for $15 OBO and all funds go to help pay for the vet bills of my high-maintenance furbaby, who you can read about here.
