Out of all 15 species of 'Old World Vultures', this is the only one who is not threatened with extinction.
They are the lucky ones.
The White-Rumped Vulture (Gyps bengalensis)is not so lucky. They have had a population decline of 99% since the early 1990′s.
That's faster than the rate the dodo went extinct.
When they're gone, they're gone. Extinction is Forever.
