Zero the Cabbit Reference Sheet by Windblown Rebel
Back in June, I bought a reference sheet commission off
WindblownRebel a birthday present for me, but for various reasons and unforeseen circumstances it didn't get finished until now. I think the results were well worth the wait! You can see the original at https://www.furaffinity.net/view/32950769/
I'm also surprised there's no Cabbit or Hybrid option the Species drop-down.
So this is Ray "Zero" Oakley, a Tenchi Muyo-style cabbit (part cat, part rabbit). Wait, does that make him a Tenchi Muyo OC? I originally conceived of him as a feral cabbit called "Big-Ohki" ("Oki" being a traditional suffix for cabbit names) that could transform into a BIg O-inspired giant robot (whereas Tenchi cabbits become spaceships). I eventually changed him to a giant robot inspired by Liger Zero from Zoids (named "Zero-Ohki"), and then into an anthropomorphized cabbit because I didn't think I had enough male characters. "Ray Oakley" is basically a corruption of the name "Zero Ohki" (Rei meaning "Zero" in Japanese).
Does he still transform into a giant robot? Well, maybe. I don't know how I feel about that anymore, but as you can tell by the uniform I decided to make him a pilot. If he did transform, his form these days might be based Gundam OO ("Double-Ohki," if you will) or Ultraman (or maybe split the difference and go with Gridman/Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad)
