Badge I made for myself for FC 2010. Since the theme is the California gold rush, I wanted to touch on another aspect of California history- the native legacy of the peoples of the region. Topanga itself is a native Tongva word meaning "above" or "a place above". The costume in the badge is loosely based off Maidu ritual dress.
