Confusing Feelings
A few weeks of school had gone by since that first day. Even though Jack now knew that he viewed Alexis in a romantic light, the folfsky had no idea how to even go beyond what the two had or even where to start. The very thought of asking the sea otter female teen who was just beautiful scared him. It wasn’t just a fear of rejection, just the part of working up the courage was hard. Jack had never asked for something like this before. Hell, the guy never had his first kiss. The only one who had kissed him really was Alexis on the cheek and that was when they were kids so that really didn’t count. Luckily school work kept the male distracted from this while he tried to figure it out on the side. His friends in the meantime, including the two females who were close to Alexis in attractiveness for him, also helped the young male by distracting him. Even so, he and the female sea otter did talk and while he blushed a tiny bit, the guy now was able to reply to her normally like they had been when they were kids. They all hung out when they could, even a couple accompanied him on the crafting trips he did on the weekends. Alexis would also join whenever she could due to her practicing for the swimming team tryouts. It was just to be safe. Well they then happened and the female was on it with no problem. “I’m so happy!” she exclaimed with a big smile to Jack.
“I figured you’d get on,” he replied and the two shared a hi-five.
“Well I’m going to be busy for certain! But I’ll still have time to hang out!” the sea otter told him with a wink.
“Er… okay,” the male replied, blushing, and rubbing the back of his neck. The female giggled at that. She then walked off. Jack couldn’t help but stare as he saw the way her long hair swayed back and forth along with how her hips, tail, and ass moved. The guy then realized what he was doing and burned red.
A few days later the two interacted again and then separated with him blushing. “Dude, why didn’t you ask her out then?” one of the guy friends who was with him asked. They all knew as Jack had explained what he was trying to do.
“It’s not that simple,” the folfsky replied.
“You want help?”
“No thank you,” Jack growled. “I don’t need you to fuck up my one chance of asking Alexis out!”
“Okay, sorry.”
Then another moment came which left the folfsky confused. Alexis had been practicing with her swim team and now their first swim meet was coming up already. “Is it really time for the first one?” Jack asked. “It hasn’t been that long.”
“True, but we’re all good swimmers,” she explained. “Savanah our couch thinks now’s a good time.” It was the same tiger shark that had been there for the first swimming lessons on that day so long ago.
“Well I won’t argue with her.”
The meet is this Saturday. Wanna come?”
Jack saw that she was smiling and a bit too close now. The guy swallowed his nerves. “Uh…” he went.
“I’d really appreciate it!” Alexis told him. “I mean if it were you I’d do the same thing!”
“Is she just saying that or does she really mean it?” the male wondered in his head.
“Well… Can I at least think about it? It’s a Monday so I have time…” She got a sad look. The guy panicked. “I… I’m not saying no! I just want to think about it! Give me till tomorrow. Can you do that?”
Alexis nodded and had a small frown. “I can…” she replied. “But… I’d really appreciate it if you could…”
Jack went home that night and found Nicholas to talk to about this. Being a guy, the fosky might understand how he felt rather than his mother Ro. “Hey dad,” the young male said.
“Hey son, how was school?” the long-haired father asked.
“Listen… I’ve got a problem.” Jack went on to explain what had happened.
“So… why are you feeling conflicted?”
“It’s just…” The teen swallowed his nerves and then came clean with what she suggested. “Ever since I’ve started school, it’s been really awkward around Alexis. I’m not sure if I should go.” He went on to explain how he sometimes messed up around her, blushed, and then his feelings for her.
“I understand,” Nicholas replied, getting it. “Being around your crush or the one you like is tough. But if you don’t try to go Jack, you’ll never know how things could have gone down. It’s sometimes worse to live with that than knowing whether it was good or bad. You can learn so if it does turn out for the worst, you’ll learn what not to do next time. And if it turns out to be the best, than build on that. Because it sounds to me Alexis really wants you to.”
“God, females are complicated…”
“I know. Your mother was no different. But once I learned that females were complicated it made things easier. They’re not basic like us males. Sometimes that’s good and sometimes not. But I have been around your mother long enough to know when they realty mean what they say. And to me it sounds like Alexis wants you to be there.”
Jack let out a breath. “Thanks dad.” Nicholas smiled.
“So I guess it happened, you finally have fallen for a female. But here’s my advice. Don’t push anything just yet. Try really hanging out with her and get to know her. Take your time since you’re young. It may seem long now, but remember she’s just one female. It took me a number of tries before I found that one. So keep your eyes open for other options. But keep an eye on her to on how she reacts to hanging out with you. I’ve seen her do so when you were little. But as kids it was different since now you two are developing into adults. But if she has that same interest if not greater, than I don’t think you’ll have a problem.”
“I will. And in exchange don’t tell my mom, okay?”
“I won’t.”
The next day Jack did tell Alexis he would come. The female sea otter got a big smile and told him where it would be held. “I really am happy you’re coming,” she then said, blushing a little and looking to the sand with a shy, nervous smile. Alexis looked back at up Jack who was acting similarly.
“Then that’s good,” he then replied, taking control of the situation. “If you are then that’s all that matters.” The two teens smiled at the other, ready for the meet when it came time.
