uh... why do some stories seem to portray Judy as obsessed with her career?
The movie made it clear that her dream was "to make the world a better place". Becoming a police officer was simply a way she felt she could achieve that.
However, once she believed that she had broken Zootopia with her comments at the press conference, she resigned from the ZPD and walked away from her "career" because she had broken her dream.

Oh great Nick. Now you've make it worse for Judy. You must've see your job as a job but for Judy, that's her life. She put her heart and soul into it, it's almost like her life has stripped away and I see she would became resentful and envious for Nick as he still part of the 1st precinct of ZPD.
