(Hooray for alliteration)
Another commission featuring some more traditional clothing rather than armor. I quite like how these look, so there may be a fair bit more in the future.
This one was done by the incredible
Ruhira! You can see their original post of it here; I was ecstatic with the way this one turned out!
We've also got another text wall, and quite a lengthy one at that.
As her brother was prowling Senchal’s markets, a young Ri’dasha was busying herself with the task of finding flowers for a bouquet. Just one more color was needed for a truly excellent display of botany - a deep violet. And what better flower to pick than nightshade for just such a hue? And so the day’s important mission began. The outskirts of the markets are a fine place to find a wide variety of flowers, so the search was to be there. After a fair bit of time, the perfect specimen was found - a single stalk of nightshade, ending at the top with a blooming bud in a brilliant purple. Excitedly, Ri’dasha plucked the flower from the base, and started back towards the markets; that’s when she heard it. A metallic clang, over and over again, followed by a sharp hiss. She had never heard anything quite like it. So naturally, like any child, curiosity overpowers any other thought. The source of the sound just had to be located. Through the sidestreets of Senchal she went, bobbing and weaving around passing Khajiit, until eventually she came upon a small building, with a blazing fire near the base. Next to this fire was the largest Khajiit she had ever seen - Ri’dasha had encountered her first Cathay-raht. The large cat glowered over her, hammer in one hand, bellows in the other. Not knowing what else to do, Ri’dasha held out her stalk of nightshade, in a sort of peace offering to the giant.
His name was Dro’bara. He worked a smithy on the outskirts of the Senchal markets, specializing in weaponry. On their first encounter, he would find the nightshade peace offering from the skittery child amusing. The childish wonder in his craft was flattering, though; she stayed and watched intently as he shaped the beginning of a scimitar a patron had ordered the day before. What he didn’t expect was the sheepish return of the child about a week later. Again, she had brought a nightshade flower, and again Dro’bara silently displayed his prowess. Only on the third visit were any words exchanged (as well as a nightshade flower), and Dro’bara learned the name of his little admirer, although he had already mentally given her the name bishu kalshan, “little flower”.
The nickname stuck, and Ri’dasha, like S’davi, had found something to aspire to. Every time she was in Senchal, she hurried over to the smithy on the edge of the markets to learn more about smithing and watch Dro’bara mold his beautiful works. After a few months of careful tutoring and lessons, Dro’bara let Ri’dasha begin to shape her own metals. This relationship continued for years, eventually leading to Ri’dasha’s considerable knowledge in the craft of smithing. Even today, whenever Ri’dasha finds herself in Senchal, she visits the smithy to watch her gentle giant make his blades.
