Zarren won the mother-load from my recent roulette. This is the long awaited result. The character has feathers that cover the back of the neck, so of course I could't resist using real feathers. I took a razor to some pillow feathers and painted the dark blue marks on them. It's about 4"x6" in size and made from paperclay, so again it's super light!!!
I glued a short chain to the back to allow it to be hung on the wall or to string a nice ribbon through to wear wherever!

I'm really getting the hang of paper clay and I am really loving it. unlike sculpy clay I can't bake the clay then add more and bake again. That came in handy with the Sssage mask and especially this one here to smooth out cracks and build muscle tone. And it is unbelievably light, I mean seriously unexpectedly light
yeppers, real feathers from a real pillow and a real pain in the butt to razor into teeny slivers of awesome. Gotta get to the post office.... bah been horribly busy and sad with the ice rolling through the midwest... I haven't been able to leave my driveway as my road isn't salted yet
