This is one of my characters. He's an otter/gator hybrid. Ottergator? But then sometime in the design he got tiny wings and a unicorn horn.

Bonbon's design was first inspired by one of my Neopets, then when I started designing a character for my first fursuit it was originally a Dutch Angel Dragon. The design remained until I started gathering supplies and doing research for fursuit construction and I revisited it. I wanted something cutesy and there's really nothing cuter than an otter (scientific fact).

While browsing Pinterest I discovered  jaithejackal and their jackal/croc hybrid suit. I fell in love with the tail and wanted to incorporate a croc/gator tail into my suit.

And then when doing a paintover of the head to plan out the colors I tacked on a unicorn horn because I add those to everything. Now here we are, and he's so sweet it hurts.
