There have been smilodons and mastadons (just watch the "Ice Age" movies, for example, then there are the fanart for those movies), and there have been other efforts to introduce other extinct mammals ( michelelight and  xianjaguar come to mind as having done some), so I've made it my goal to get leptis on FA, even though I, myself, can't draw.... :) Now, so far there are two (I know of a third that will be drawn), all from my efforts... :)

Well, I DO draw paleoart, but not typically anthro stuff. I've even considered joining an LJ group for art trades in paleo-critter art. And I can honestly say I wouldn't have drawn him barring your request :)
