The shrinkage was far too fast for the protogen to properly keep up, seeing even more types of particles and atoms shoot past its face, some almost smacking into it before grazing past its form, leaving its impromptu flight uninterrupted. Atoms and eventually quarks would fill and fade from its sight, and then...nothing. It was so small at this point, smaller than the smallest known item in all of existence, and each second it could feel itself going further. It felt that its shrinkage would go on forever, left at such a fate or even to blink out of existence entirely if or when it hit a certain threshold. At this point, the protogen just accepted that possibility and just closed its eyes, trying to ignore the ever-present feeling of its shrinkage as it dwindled down further, and further, and further...

...only to snap out of the 'bliss' when it smacked into something this far down.

Did ya really think I was gonna have it blip out of existance? Granted I was tempted of doing it as a 'bad ending' for the sequence, but eh.
