Operation Barbarossa, 15th November, 1941. The Eastern Front
Comrades
RJ, and
Zear, fly their Ilyushin il-2 Sturmovik, nicknamed "White Storm" and take out division after division of German Panzers, aiding greatly to slow the German Advance into Mother Russia.
The two are a formidable pairing. RJ is a skilled pilot, having taken out both Tanks and Fighters in his Sturmovik. He is feared by the Wehrmacht and respected by the Red Army for his exploits. Zear is a brilliant gunner, being able to gun down a fighter while RJ manoeuvres the plane. Even though he isn't a pilot, he is already a double-ace and Luftwaffe pilots have described him as "a one-man fortress".
I am most satisifed with how the Sturmovik canopy turned out, better than I expected. Though I could've done more work with the ground

Ah.. Welcome to Soviet Union, comrade Zear & comrade RJ. Come and meet my comrade, Lietenant Dimitri :http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4513256. Want some vodka, my dear comrades???
No we're not soviets (we are in the pic though), I just happen to be very interested inthe soviet union, though I'm a very firm capitalist.
Thanks, I'm gladI was detailed enough. I've beenfinishing my art pieces a lot faster recently andI feared I was becoming to simplistic with my art style

Ohbtw, if you didn't know, you should hit the reply button on someone's comment if you wanna reply back to it. Unless your comment was on their artpiece or journal they won't know you replied to them.
It's in the bottom right-hand corner of the comment. Just click the "reply to this post" and you'll be directed to the typing box at the bottom but you hould notice that it's replying to the message you clicked on.s

Oh sure...you lot might've bombed the germans into submission, but you didn't have them knocking on the door of Washington, OR suffer the greatest loss of life of any country OR quite literally have to pack up and ship out your entire industrial might eastwards to keep your war effort going
Comrade, I think Mother Russia suffered more than Uncle Sam, and played as descisive a role. You gotta give the soviets credit

lol. its easy to make the claim that russia played a huge role but when you look at the bigger picture the british and americans were fighting on multiple fronts. africa, italy, alaska, the pacific. and because a huge body count occurred does not mean they fought harder, in fact they fought like dumbasses and only won because of overwhelming numbers. if anything the honor of being the best and the toughest would have to go to germany for being able to hold out for so long against so many enemies.
Ok, I agree on that one. I also say the Germans were thebest and the toughest. They were the most innovative (they built the world's first ballistic missile, operational fighter jet, cruise missile, Surface-air missile, RPG and sloping tank armour just to name a few), had the best equipment (The Tiger II was nearly indestructible in combat) and like you said, had to deal with enemies on all fronts. The only reason they lost was just lack of numbers due to aforementioned strategic bombing.
