Umakao Daimaoh is very serious about getting the right ambiance when he's entertaining special guests. So when one of his servants put up the wrong scented candles, he was very upset. The poor man was brought before him to answer for his mistakes. When the servant begged for mercy, Umakao was so amused by the notion that he just couldn't bring himself to have the man's head cut off.
Still, failure is failure, and failure must be punished, but you could say the man got what he asked for. Being a skunk is far less terrible fate than having your head stuck on a pike.
