I'd blame Nintendo for their own take on the mascot tactic. Especially that one for the first Smash Bros game with the Turtle's "Happy Together" playing in the background. I mean, that was a legendary commercial right there! Even the choice of a music group named "turtles", which is what the koopas are, makes the whole sale pitch synonymous. I like that.
Also, I'm kind of bummed that I missed getting a color commission. Just saying...

Man I freaking love this picture, Ripper Roo just doesn't get enough love on the internet. Really dig the lighting especially in this, along with the expressions, posing and everything, even the details with the platforms shifting under Ripper Roo's tongue, and poor Labbeh, picking the wrong day to be Crash xD

I just want to express how INCREDIBLY nice you drew Ripper, especially those feet. I feel bad not complimenting the rest of the picture but the shape of those feet is really, really getting to me. They're so long, and the shape of the soles is so... curvy and nice looking. Just so smooth, and the wrinkles under his toes are so nice, and the transition between the two colors is lovely. Those giant roo feet are so nice looking, I just... aaaaaack, cuhuhute~ x//////P
