I'm finally allowed to post this! This was my contribution to The Source 9 zine. My first zine contribution ever. Normally I wouldn't have trusted myself to get anything done by the deadline, but because this was for the 10th anniversary of 9, I had to try. I just barely managed, I did most of this in one day and kinda hurt my wrist enough to wear a brace for the following week.

I have a little headcanon for how 7 and the twins are off on their own apart from the others. I like to think that the twins had gone off exploring for knowledge and had been gone for too long, and 7 got into an argument with 1 about going out to find them. Of course she storms off to do just that. I also like to think that on that trek she got into a scuffle with the Cat Beast and got the majority of her number torn off, and 2 finds it later on during one of his scavenging trips and assumes the worst. However, 7 manages to either find or be found by the twins, and despite their terror and worry, manage to patch her up as best as they can - and that is how 7 got her raggedy red back patch and why 2 and 5 were so shocked to see her (especially 2). It's absolutely a headcanon, but since it complies with movie events to an extent I was allowed to go with that for my piece.
