Poor Oxnard. Then again, perhaps some time away from everything really will do him some good. After all, the little guy has been through a great deal over the past couple of years. As the saying goes, "Sometimes you have take one step back in order to take two steps forward."
Bye-Q, Oxnard. May you find what you are searching for out there. *salutes*

I'm torn. On the one hand, sometimes a little comic relief is needed after a serious arc, even if it's a blip of a joke. On the other hand, sometimes even the tiniest of a fourth wall break can take one out of the moment and mood. On the third hand, everything, including trying so hard to crack a joke, seem completely consistent with the character.
On the fourth hand, AAAAGH HOLY SHIT I GREW TWO EXTRA HANDS, HELP.

You're breaking the 4th wall, NOOOOO, stop Oxnard! D:
Love how he is slowly leaving pieces of what signify him as a "do-gooder," little by little, and the glow of the watch is him leaving behind technology, and the angle on the last frame. Aaaah, trying to not get detailed because I need to catch up.
Nishi, this page, I thoroughly enjoy it!

Nerdy aside here: makes you think about how in a society like ours, we give meaning to time, by surrounding ourselves with devices to keep track of an invisible increment. In this way, the watch could symbolize even more, discarding it meaning that Oxnard wants to concentrate on life without following the prerequisite boundaries that weren't put in place by anyone in the first place.
