This bright blue dress on the background character just makes my eyes burn when I watch on front face. I were partly on stream and when it was less bright it looked.. Cleaner for me? Idk
But I must say this work looks very unusual and cool by its composition! Now looking on final piece I can see whats the front character pose is and, wow, thats something really cool :>
Also all background details are very inspiring and stunning, some greek statues stylistic, gosh, looks like perfection. As well as colors, lights and everything about it. Only thing that bothers me honestly is very deep blue around front charecter's nose, maybe it's just my 24/7 tired eyes, but it makes me harder to "read" all image together.

Pretty offtopic but what a pleasure it was to catch a little of the process :D I am not a usual stream watcher, but I noticed you stream at good time for me ^^'

Yeah it was pretty touch and go in regards to going with the blue dress like it is now or the somewhat more desaturated version before. The other one just was sinking a little too much into the background for my taste at that time, so this one won out. But yeah, both had their advantages to it. And thank you for stopping by of course :)

I guess the brightness/saturation questions are the hardest - everyone's screen settings are different + everybody see and prefer different colors as well ;3 after all, the question how this piece wi look printed haha! And so on, you can discuss it forever

Yeah that is also very true, and even the environment where it is viewed can have an influence. Like looking at it in the evening when the room might be darker vs. in daylight. Always very tough to really get it right for everyone.

I don't know why but I feel like Bob Ross would like this very much probably how much effort and time you put into not to say that your other artwork isn't any different but still just yeah.
