Vixen's text in the last panel does give the impression of being rather young and naïve about the risks of thieving... particularly because it is a speech bubble rather than a thought bubble (I assume that last line is delivered in a quiet 'sotto voce').
If she's smart she'd have a sob story ready in case she's caught, which might be why she has picked a helpful good-natured person as a victim, but she doesn't really give the impression of having that level of experience or sophistication.
