The desire to cross vast distances at a fraction of a second is incredibly strong. No longer does one have to wait in traffic, or deal with road construction. One can even bypass accidents on the highway entirely. Imagine being able to be in one's home town one second, and in an entirely different country the next. The ocean isn't even a deterrent at that point -- merely an obstacle that is no longer worth observing. Time itself no longer is a concern, either: one can pop in and out with little preparation. No longer does someone have to wait in an airport for a few hours: when one wants to leave, they can simply poof away.
Teleportation magic is among a mage's most powerful of tools: skilled magicians are able to bend the laws of space and time to appear where they need to be in an instant. Do be cautious, however: magic is not kind to those who lack the means to fully understand it. Teleportation magic is particularly dangerous -- one's destination might be stated as "Daeroth's house," but one could, accidentally, instead end up in a dragon's mouth.

Seems poor Danathius has teleported directly into Lotan's mouth! Hopefully he has a good plan for getting out... But he probably doesn't.

I've actually been following her for about a year or 2 as that is how I got acquainted with Lotan, Sue and the mischievous athletically handsome naga who likes to steal her away for himself^^
