The first name that popped into my mind when looking at him was "Bianco", which means 'white'. I was going to offer that name along with a whole list of suggestions for names that mean 'light', 'white' or 'pure', but darn if didn't already beat me to it! =~.^= That are some great offers she gave you, too! I hope you will be able to find something in there you can use for this little fellow, or for other characters you might still create!

And for what it's worth... I have three books for naming cats, with names inspired by things as simple as food, or other cats of famous people, to names inspired by astrology, celestial bodies, biblical and other religious history, and mythology, and at least two of those books sort the names by fur color, so if you ever need help... this old greynose of a fluffcat and his books are at your disposal, milady =^_^=

Kitten is a piteous character. His folk so often have it rough. People fear what they do not understand and their condition, although proven to be non-communicable, is still frightening to many people. He will need to be strong to endure and courage to keep moving forward.

Wheeeee! Lots of wonderful Kitty art over the past few days when I've been sick! And it all looks so amazingly wonderful! I have to say, Mint, Sugar and Sweetheart do indeed have a subtle difference to their fur hue which looks very good on them! And these two little guys are just sweeties! Poor Kitten, though, being regarded as some kind of contageous freak must be really hard for him!

Even with my old screen's resolution turned all the way up high, it still looked black to me... while he assured me it was a very dark red, heh.
