Illustration commissioned by
Raptorzzs of his characters Yuri’Tab (left) and TerrKar (right). Thank you very much! :D
This wasn’t the first Star Trek themed work I’ve been commissioned to make, but it is certainly the largest! The scene here is Raptorzs’s characters taking part in a simulated test called the Kobayashi Maru. Both of them are responding quite differently to the results of their progress in the test XD
I’ve always been a huge fan of the Star Trek franchise, so making something like this was a really cool experience! All the effects such as the smoke, sparks, and damage were probably my favorite part to paint; along with the characters and their uniforms as well ^^

Not quite a year later this time, but there were no holograms yet in the era this appears to be set in. (original series/movies era going by the uniforms, unless it's a hologram sim set in that era?)
The bridge-crew just played dead back then! XD
(like Kirk's infamous line to Spock after the sim: "Aren't you dead?")

A potential solution to the Kobayashi Maru scenario would have been to send a message to the Klingons informing them of the situation and requesting one of their ships to accompany the Starfleet ship and assist in the rescue of the disabled ship. If the Klingons had agreed to assist and then attacked the Starfleet ship, it would have been dishonorable which is something the Klingons (as we learned in TNG) abhor.
