"Uhh, Ryan?" Jamie said.
"Yeah?" Ryan fixed Jamie with a questioning gaze.
"The - the crystals in your shoulder... they're...uh..."
Ryan's head whipped round to look at the trio of magenta crystal spikes protruding from his left shoulder, which had begun to glow softly from within.
"Oh, this? This is normal. Nebulite glows in close proximity to a source of magic power." Ryan explained.
"And that?" Jamie pointed towards the horizon where a heavy blizzard was taking place and seemed to be forming a colossal cube of ice within its shroud.
"That's Cryogen." Ryan sighed. His gauntlets flared to life as he and Jamie flew over to the snowstorm.
Jamie narrowly dodged a flurry of razor sharp shards of ice Cryogen had just blasted at him, pulled out a flamethrower and opened fire on the ice construct. The searing flames melted Cryogen's protective shell like butter, and meltwater dripped onto the snowy floor in a manner not dissimilar to blood from a cut. Ryan followed a similar combat style, flailing at Cryogen with a pair of burning flamelashes, and each strike broke off fragments of ice. Jamie had now pulled out his Megalodon rifle and was firing napalm bullets into the shell of Cryogen.
Ryan cried an incantation and his gauntlets turned bright blue, wound with silver tendrils. Rising to face Cryogen, he slashed his right hand and sent an arc of crackling elecrticity at the construct. The arc hit and electricity coursed over Cryogen's body, before gouging out several furrows in the icy shell. Cryogen suddenly charged at blinding speed towards Ryan, and had Josh not appeared out of nowhere and bisected the ice construct with a single slash of his ever present Exoblade.
Both halves fell to the floor and shattered with an almighty crash, exposing a Snowstorm staff with snowflakes orbiting the crystalline ice at its head, and a Frostbite blaster.
Jamie and Ryan teleported home shortly after Josh set off, running at blazing speeds. He put on a burst of acceleration and broke the sound barrier with a BOOM, and as he sprinted his boots trailed flame. He actually managed to beat Jamie and Ryan back home, given the massive speed he travelled at.
Again, if this reaches 50 views or more I will write the next chapter!
