Sometimes a piece of artwork reaches out and grabs you by the throat and pulls you into more than you ever imagined with a quick viewing.
Bering sent me a link, which I followed. To this point, I was struggling for an idea concerning this weeks prompt. In the viewing, I was pulled in completely, and the following story emerged.

Have to admit, I relate to Cherry more than I'd usually want to admit.
Who would have thought the blending of one lupine's musings about maths and a pilot's stories of war would gel together for quite a potent and impactful effect.
It help's that you've quite the skill in making your characters have a genuine presence, regardless of how much they appear in the story themselves.
P.S. Anapáfsou en eiríni, Steven H.

Ya know, I can relate a lot to not liking numbers much, if at all. And being able to tie them to experiences, and to something that's often removed from equations is a very thoughtful approach. Especially through writing. The character detail in this really stood out and gave emotion and personality to the wolf, a whole life that we simply gazed a moment of, with the thoughts, feelings, and brief yet filling explanation of where they are in life. This was a pleasure to read!
Thanks for sharing, V.
That piece of artwork is truly inspiring, full of emotion. I can totally understand how the story came to you.
Very interesting, how you linked Pi with the airstrike. I've never really had a mind for numbers either, but I really like the way Cherry came to the revelation.
