I always liked the concepts of machines passing oil... In my childhood I once played with a toy-bus, unintentionally anthropomorphising it, pretending it had to lift a tire to pee... Given that some people on this site are into living machines, I would assume that something like this would need to happen sooner or later. =^-^=

You and I had similar thoughts in our childhoods. it was back when I was in 2nd grade where I'd play with these hot wheels cars and I'd pretend they had to go bad. ever since then I still come to think about it as a crazy random memory in my head

I used to imagine when cars and trucks had to go, they'd pick up their rear wheel and go let it out on a tree or fire hydrant. that was basically when I got to middle school

That's how the bus was supposed to do this as well. It kinda felt natural back then, even though I was aware that machines weren't alive, yet I had a vivid imagination.

I guess those movies were a huge influence on me anyway. In my imagination machines behaved just like in those movies. I'm quite sure Herbie even leaked oil in the movies at some point in the same way as a dog would lift a leg, so it really wasn't a stretch of my imagination. ^-^
