What if Frond couldn't utilize shadows as readily or shift whatever he's eaten to his shadow body, particularly if he ate something his own size (which he never does unless it's dark enough).
Well, he'd have to stretch out his body to ... uh. Accommodate its size but as you can see it's ... not very comfortable. At all.
