"In a world shrouded in darkness, we are the light!"
I have a habit of tossing around story ideas in my head. One of them is about an elite team who polices the supernatural. My original idea involved different characters, but the same concept. However, after commissioning
tatious for this awesome piece, I'm thinking I might re-work the story to have it about anthros instead and revolve around Jessie and Aria.
Here's what I have so far:
It starts with Aria as a detective who has a run in with the supernatural. Her survival and display of skills in the encounter earns her an invite with a secret organization that deals with such things. Here she meets Jessie, who was more or less, raised in the organization after displaying the rare talent of magic when he was very young. He already has years of experience and now is partnered up with Aria and has to teach her how to be a an Inquisitor. Inquisitors are like detectives and it's their job to investigate the unknown and eliminate the hostile. Sometimes they must apprehend them and sometimes they must protect them. It's not just a straight forward search and destroy for not all the creatures they hunt are evil.
Jessie and Aria get a bit of a character make-up for this story to make it more serious. They are no longer siblings of any kind and don't even know each other until Aria is requited.
Aria is a bit more gruff and tough as nails. She has to be in order to be a detective in her city. She's a little more tomboyish and can hang with any male in a fight or a bar. She dresses in pants a lot more, but still dresses provocatively and might wear a dress if the mood fits her. She's very proficient with guns and hand-to-hand combat and as her time as an Inquisitor develops, melee weapons too.
Jessie is still somewhat the opposite to Aria, but while he is usually bubbly and girly, he's more a of a serious character this time around. Of course, Jessie is still a crossdresser, preferring female clothing over male's. His reasons are not clear though. Jessie still acts feminine and somewhat girly, just not to the extent he normally would. He is for the most part a serious character and as an Inquisitor takes his job seriously. While Aria is more the brawn in this story, Jessie is the brains. Highly educated with a vast knowledge. I'm thinking of having him lean towards being like Brennan from "Bones" (great show if you haven't seen it) and having be somewhat of a bookworm and nerd with a habit of explaining things all the time and being technical. Leaving it up to Aria to take the stick out of his ass (no, there was no symbolism meant there XP). Jessie is very talented with magic and with the wave of his hands and uttering the right incantation he can unleash powerful spells that can do damage, mend objects, heal wounds, detect things, read minds, etc. His knowledge and his imagination are his only limitations. However, there is a catch and limit to his power. Can you guess? ;)
That's right: Bondage! Basically, the only way Jessie can cast a spell except for a few very minor tricks, is to speak the words of the spell and use his hands to direct it. If he doesn't have the ability to do either, than the spell won't cast. The laws of magic are cooky like that in this world. So all one has to do his bind his hands behind him and gag him and he is completely helpless. Of course that goes without saying. :P
So needless to say, Jessie would get tied up and gagged a lot. :D And with him wearing skimpy goth girl outfits like this, all the better. ^_^
So what do you think? Worthy concept? :)
Aria's outfit was inspired by a cosplayer's take on a female version of Dante from Devil May Cry:

Similar concept. ^_^
Aria normally teases Jessie about being a sissy. In this story, Aria does much of the same and teases him and sometimes really rags on him for being so girly. Aria will even crack on how she's more of a man than Jessie is. And usually Jessie would just get upset and whimper about it. In this story, Jessie uses his wit to crack back at Aria, but Jessie still shows that her teasing bothers him more than his bothers her.

Well i also imagines something simliar but instead of present or near future it be in a fantasy based world. ^^ A femme samurai warrior gets caught up in things, and has a large demon wolf that keep following him after he beat her. Both would be fun for a co-op action game, though im suprised they havent dont that yet as they coudl if they wanted.
lol i meant along lines of ninja gaiden, devil may cry, and onimusha style. Modern-future i magine powerful female wielding guns and a sword being backed up by her lovely partner and the female can have ability to turn into beautiful anthro wolf.
Each one has his or her won specail power and ability. same thing for the past one except insted of magic user your partner a big old wolf meat shield tht protect her 'future husband' ooh that gives me idea of commission in future lol

*Ponders and stuffs the flamethrower back in the pannier on his bike, and pulls out a Grimoire, reachiing into the other for a Sub-Machinegun.*
I can talk to the dead. I can raise them too. One side is necromancy, the other is bullets.
I can be useful.
*Telekinetically flips the grimoire open, and focses on a page, before looking back up, eyes black, and bones gently glowing under his skin*
How may I be of service?
