So...really dark paintings don't like cameras OR scanners. If I can get a cleaner shot later I'll replace the file...I just got tired of trying. It looks significantly different in person, etc etc.

Acrylics are nice, but your digital coloring is so much better IMHO.
Besides, when coloring digitally, you can erase your mistakes, which is important to a perfectionist like myself.
Also, I agree that you are very good at drawing night scenes, no matter what your method of coloring, especially when you include small points of light, like stars or fireflies.
You can create a variety moods with night scenes, from peaceful calm to tense suspense as beasts of the night sneak up on you.
Have you ever considered making an angst night scene? I'm not even sure if that's possible myself.

I've considered it.
Digital is great and all- but I've never sold a single print. When it comes to going to art shows etc, digital is worth very little to me. I will never "sell" a digital painting that I did for my own enjoyment. You can do that with real media. In addition to that, a few of the acrylic paintings I've done have been more well-received than my digital work (namely the meeting in the mist, on deviantart)and considering I've only really been doing acrylics for less than a year- its not something I feel like passing on just because digital is easier.

nice sky and lighting , it looks wonderful. Whoever said you should do digital instead is crazy. Youre right about what you said in reply.
However,The anatomy on the lion is awkward, his arm sticks out very stiff and doesnt look like its part of his body. The hand also could be more convincing with how the staff is held. Their are also more bumps and ridges on a lions nose, it doesnt slope straight down like that.
I hope you dont mind those few pointers.
