this is lovely! look forward to seeing the other creations on your INKTOBER list
but isn't "digital ink" cheating just a little bit? <wink>
this came out really smooth, love the inkwash effect you got in the subtle shading of this piece, high five for beautiful Cat-girl art!

I actually did inktober last year with real ink and by the end of it realized I was spending just as much time with set up/clean up as I did with the actual drawing. As much as real ink will always be a true love of mine, I wasn't able to do the whole month since I got really frustrated with a clogged rapidograph pen... the cleaning of which lead to a bent wire inside and a dead expensive ink pen and 6 hours of my life I'll never get back. So this year I'm focusing purely on the art with the iPad <3.
I use a classic manga "G" pen Nib with a Tachikawa T-40 holder for all my inking work the pen can do some amazing details from ultra fine line to thick bold get a good quality free flowing ink "waterproof' ink tends to clog the quils as it is "fast drying" and that is not what you want when using a dip pen i have had some really good results with Sumi ink sticks that I ground myself with an inkstone ( DID I say I was 'Old School'?)(it makes a good meditation) and that way you can vary the thickness and density of the ink makes it a good choice for doing Inkwashing. branch out and try a "G" pen you may come to really like it. i find sometimes i need to thin out india ink to make to flow better. but in the end remember the Mantra": Use What Works
