This is another cute little piece based loosely around my visit to New York last year.
So, once again, some context:
My boy is one of the silliest people on the face of the earth and has a tendency to burn his mouth on an at least bi-weekly basis (and that's only counting the incidents he does tell me about) because he never checks to see whether his food is too hot or not, constantly giving me the lamest of excuses like "I have a high tolerance to heat" or "it doesn't even happen that often".
YEAH RIGHT! >:C
So while I was over in New York, all the time (and I mean all the time), I wouldn't let him start eating until I'd made sure the food wasn't too hot and gave him the all clear. No amount of pouting and complaining about being hungry helped him there.
Naturally, over the last 15 months or so of us being apart, he's gone back to his mouth burning habits >:c
You best believe we're going back to this strict routine when he comes to visit me here at the end of next week.
On that note, I'm super excited for that and can't wait to see him again!

Not a fan of spicey foods, but I have to admit that food tastes way better when it's still hot.
However, when it's too hot, it's not only very unpleasant and sometimes risky but it also gets in the way of enjoying the food. I find it very difficult to pay attention to what something tastes like whenever I find myself in a "THAT'S REALLY HOT" kind of scenario XD
