Considering the fact that the fur was shed naturally from the fox (neighbors pet) and the rabbit died of old age, yes. I say having a totem/tassel/etc. with something of a beloved pet/animal is a good way of honoring them. Just like having an urn full of the cremations of a loved one. One of our horses died not to long ago so I took some of his mane and made a memory tassel, so whenever I missed him, I could look at it and remember how much fun and sweet of a horse he was. I've had people send me some fur of beloved animals to have turned into a bookmark tassel with a picture as the bookmark.
