One year ago, we lost a most wonderful noodle dragon, brother and best friend,
Arkhanis. He requested this pic a while back, and I think it's fitting that I finish it as a little memorial for him.
Several months prior, I'd visited him with the plan to take him on a nice vacation after over a year of being stuck in the hospital. As it turned out, his condition was still pretty unstable, and our vacation plans had to be cancelled. So, we took to making our own adventures happen, and made what fun of the situation that we could. It wasn't as good as our vacation on the beach would have been, but it wasn't the worst time, either, and we were both certainly happy to have the company!
Eventually, the nurses were able to get us a wheelchair so we could explore the hospital grounds, and Arkh had an absolute blast after being bedridden for months on end. Racing down hallways, stopping at the in-house convenience store, picking up his favorite icepops from the cafeteria, it was so great to see him smile so much. Any time he wanted to go somewhere, he's point his icepop and shout "Onwards!", the goofball. And of course since he's a silver noodlederg, I'd respond with "Hi-ho Silver, away!" as we charged down the hallway. He really loved Star Trek, so instead here we are running down a starship corridor, looking for adventures. I think it would have made him smile.
I miss him dearly every day. Little Silver really was a gem hidden in the rough, a true sweetheart always so eager to go out of his way for others, to spread what happiness he could, and brightened up many sour days even for those he hardly knew. He didn't deserve the hands that were dealt to him repeatedly for over a year.. life and people can be really cruel sometimes. Please, treat others as you'd want to be treated. Be kind, caring, tolerant. Life's short, enjoy it but don't ruin it for others. And remember, this world is made of.. Love and Peace!
Wherever you are now, little brother, I hope you can fly free and enjoy all the wonderful things this universe has to offer. Love and miss you always <3

I'm sure your silver dragon is now the silver lining on the horizon spreading its wings, smiles as you smile and comfort your wings around the earth as you cry. He was fortunate enough to have true friends and the luck to at least have a moment to joke and smile with them. The silver stripe, the Milky Way yes embody the stars after what I have read a soul. Too bad that it was so many refused to meet him in person.
I also lost my brother, best friend too. So and I know how it feels - even after a year. He namend Servael
My heartfelt condolences for the loss and my deep joy that you could experience such a friendship

Has it really been over a year?
I find myself thinking about him fairly often to be honest. Especially whenever I watch that Star Wars parody series that we started watching together, but never finished.
I wish that I had gotten to know him better before it was too late.
