Ingredients
1 pound chopped fresh broccoli
1 pound cubed, cooked chicken meat *skinless and boned*
1 26 oz can condensed cream of broccoli soup *i like to saute my own mushrooms but it's easier if you go with a can*
1/3 cup milk or mocha mix
2 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese *for non-dairy cheese, use a good melting vegan cheese, such as Daiya*
2 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
4 tablespoons dried bread crumbs *Italian breadcrumbs...the BEST*
Recommended Seasonings *1 tablespoon each*

Heat oven to 450 F (230 degrees C).
Place the broccoli in a saucepan with enough water to cover. Bring to boil, cook 5 minutes, or until tender.
Place the cooked broccoli in a 9 inch pie plate. Top with the chicken.
Rue Sauce: Mix the soup and milk SLOWLY, adding your seasonings, whisk thoroughly. Pour over the chicken. Sprinkle generously with cheddar cheese.
Mix the melted butter with the bread crumbs, and sprinkle over the cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until bubbly and lightly brown. I added paprika on the top, helps with cooking and gives it a nice brown texture.
