Are there famous cryptids/monsters/chimeras with 6 legs ? I only found the tarasque, a vaguely dragon looking one.

yes ! i Wonder about this a lot too ! I know about each movement in the walk cycles of horses, and sometimes i catch myself wondering if spiders follow one too or if they just throws their legs and hope for the best

After seeing your artwork here, I did a little "Research" on YouTube looking at insect and Ant animation. It seems the middle legs swing only forward and back, adding a sort of "Mid step" to the ant's front and hind feet. Now... Six llimbed Cats being far more flexible and heavier than ants would need to adopt a walk where the middle feet move in sequence with the front and back feet...

That's why I prefer to draw my six limbed mammals "Centaur" style. I can't stand the idea of these wonderful creatures tripping over their own paws.
