You don't need much, but a few things are esstenial
First, you need a turkey(duh), or at LEAST turkey REMAINS, you'll be surprised how much usable, edible matter comes off of bones.
2 Bay leaves (Usually come in branches)
Celery salt
Salt and Pepper
Seasoned Salt
Four chopped celery stalks. Chop them to your liking, I prefer them to look like this.
About half a bag of small chopped carrots, or three large carrots
Hand made noodles (flour, a LITTLE bit of milk, and eggs. Add each respective incredient until the dough is only BARELY sticky, dry, yet can still be molded. These take the longest to cook, but as they do they will absorb the flavor of the broth around them.
1. Start to boil the body (Or whatever pieces you have, but PLEASE make sure you can pick the bones AND cartilage/joint metter OUT when the meat starts falling off. VERY important.
1a. Start adding your spices. Celery salt, Bay leaves, Salt, Pepper, Seasoned Salt, and what ever else you might like. I added a dash or three of garlic powder as well as adobo seasoning.
2. Take out the bones and other unedibles
3. Start rolling your noodles into TINY balls, they WILL expand! No bigger then a QUARTER if you can help it.
4. Drop noodles into soup, all at once if you can so they cook evenly and you don't have stragglers. Might look something like this
5. After about fifteen minutes take out a noodle and cut it in half, see if there is still raw flour in there, if there is BARELY any in the center, start adding your raw vegetables in. HOMOMNOM
6. Let it simmer depending on how squeeshy you want your veggies, then kill the heat and let it simmer in it's own juices for a little bit
7. ENJOY.
Allergy warning – recipe contains dairy product (in the noodles)
