Background
Richard has always been one for adventure. He's always looking for the next adventure. However he's always to help out those that need it. He is a proficient bowman and has won a gold medal in a number of competitions. Was once human but his tattoo turned him into a dragon when they first met.
His tattoo is what is known as a Demi-Muse. It is created with magic and had extensive powers depending on how it was created. The general rule of thumb is the larger the Demi-Muse the more powerful it is. That and they only have knowledge of what they are attached to and what they were created for. For example a Demi-Muse attached to encyclopedia will have extensive knowledge on its contents whilst one attached to a building will know the complete inner workings of the structure.
One problem with Demi-Muses however is that they cannot live independently as they have to be attached to something. Usually this is a physical object or place but there are rare cases of a Demi-Muse attached to a living creature.
In these cases the Demi-Muse can assist the host in a number of ways. This can either be through magic; directly controlling their body and creating the illusion of making them look like something different. They also have the advantage of becoming more intelligent thanks to bring connected to their host
Richard's Demi-Muse (Alke) is particularly special. It is only one of its kind that is documented to have physically changed their hosts appearance. Richard was originally human but one fateful day he came across a castle that had Alke as a painting and said painting turned him into a dragon. For what purpose? Not even Alke knows for sure as that information was not granted to them.
Alke has the ability to absorb physical objects. As such if Richard is out for a walk and is then ambushed Alke can summon armour and weapon in seconds making Richard ready for nearly any battle.
Alke can also create an illusion around Richard to make him look human. It's not perfect though. There have been a number of occasions where people have tripped over behind him not noticing the now invisible tail of his.
They are incredibly noble to Richard and will do anything to keep him safe. They bestowed information to Richard on how to use a sword like professional when they first met making Richard quite the formidable fighter in a battle but not undefeatable.

Currently Richard lives about his everyday life and getting accustomed to being a dragon. He does also look for clues on who originally created Alke in the hopes of getting some answers as to what their purpose for doing so was.
