ok - dunno - i’m just sharing my joy - i’m into gadgets and tech overall:
will new fancy tablet make me better at drawing? - no….
will it dramatically improve my workflow? - no…
is it nice to have anyway? - yeah!
first impression: it’s damn good - for 265 usd it’d better be - thing is freakin’ expensive...
might as well share “gear i use” so this post ain’t completely useless:
PC:
[ Asus G750JS ] (i7 4770hq + 32gb RAM + gtx 870m + 2x 480gb SSD)
Laptop is from 2014 but still packs some punch - i’ll just need to replace battery which will suck as it’s “just-for-this-model” and it’s 100usd or so.. - Dell and HP have perks of “standard batteries” for “corporate laptops” which don’t change for years and are widely available, unlike gaming laptops - still it was cheaper than proper “laptop-workstation” at that time.
i dual boot Windows 10 and Linux Mint - i use windows “for private stuff”: gaming/drawing/watching goofy memes etc. - and Linux is for university and “serious stuff”.
Input:
[ Wacom Intuos Pro 2 S ] tablet [previously: Wacom Bamboo M and XP-Pen Artist10S]
[ Logitech M570 ] trackball (that makes three trackball users worldwide...)
[ SPC Gear gk540 ] keyboard (one of the cheapest mechanical keyboards)
Software:
[ Krita ] - current program i’m using - nice - open source - so far (i’ve been using it for nearly a year) i like it very very much.
[ Photoshop ] - i used it before Krita- it’s the best (there is reason why it’s industry standard) - but it’s 100usd/year, i bought it once, it barely paid for itself in my case - i had student licence before - and even earlier… i kinda stole it, but i didn’t do commissions at that time so i don’t have regrets.
[ GIMP ] - i used it before/alongside PS - it’s there… - actually not that big on it since i found Krita: but it’s also free and open source - which i really like.

Nah... - it's completely fine to ask.
I actually had XP-Pen Artist 10 - so 10.1" "display tablet" - and while hardware was okish (not great but fair for the price), software (drivers) were abominable - it was 50:50 wether I'll need to restart PC before i could start working, and sometimes (admitably rarely) i had to restart computer mid work to get those drivers to work again.
So history of my tablet usage is:
Wacom bamboo -> xp pen -> back to bamboo -> intuos pro (now)
More over: i did came from '"traditional arts" - i did not start with digital work - and i thought i'd have issues with drawing on the tablet and looking at the screen, and i'd need "display tablet" - but i actually adjusted to it quite well - and i can work either way now.
I've heard that Huion is more legitimate alternative to Wacom but i was turned off from "Wacom alternatives" for a while now - those are just my experiences: if someone have great time working with Chinese alternative - great for them! At worst: i'm kinda jealous i didn't get to buy something good and cheaper than Wacom (which is rather pricy: it's clear you pay extra for the brand, tho it's not all you pay for - tablet is still good)
