The following is a bio card for one of my OC villains, a mad beast by the name of Drake.
Drake Foster was once a soldier who fought with everything he had to protect his comrades and to defend the innocent. However, after a rather bloody skirmish cost Drake his right arm, he was shipped back home, unable to fight, or do much of anything. The poor, broken man had fallen into a deep depression. He felt completely worthless; desperate to find a purpose in his life.
That was when he was contacted by a world famous bio-geneticist in charge of an experimental procedure to create genetically enhanced humans who could combat the growing inhuman threat. The procedure had the ability to regenerate Drake's missing arm and give him enhanced strength. But to Drake, the power meant nothing. Being made whole again, and having a purpose was more than he could ask for. So naturally, he jumped at the opportunity.
...What the team DIDN'T tell him, however, was that the procedure would completely mutate Drake into a ravenous beast.
With pure muscle, exoskeletal flesh that was dense enough to withstand heavy caliber bullets and explosives, Drake had become nearly indestructible; a perfect weapon. But the procedure, combined with the betrayal and deception had eviscerated Drake's psyche. His mind had become clouded by pure animalistic rage, leading him to viciously slaughter the entire research team before making his escape.
Driven by pure rage and hunger, Drake either slaughters or devours any who dare get in his way as he desperately tries to regain his humanity, leading to a path of destruction all along the way...
Some tidbits:
- Drake's exoskeleton is constantly adapting and regenerating. It's less that he himself is bulletproof and more that his hardened exterior is rapidly adaptive to trauma. The only way to induce any pain is chemical, electric, or internal.
- Drake is an incredibly voracious predator, but unlike any other pred, he isn't a predator of gluttony, cruelty or anything beyond pure animalistic hunger. He doesn't savor any meals or prey. He simply devours until he's full, which seldom lasts. The only reason he isn't constantly eating is that his rage drives him slightly more than his hunger.
- Drake's claws are sharp enough to pierce steel.
- Drake's bite possesses two thousand pounds of pressure behind it. Virtually anything he bites down on will be crushed or ripped off immediately.
- Drake's stomach can only expand by three to four feet maximum, due to just how utterly dense his exoskeleton is. And when he's incredibly bloated, his belly becomes like a rock hard boulder, with no give or slosh at all. If Drake devours anything larger and whole, they risk being crushed by the sheer pressure of his stomach being compressed to an agonizing degree.
- Buried somewhere within the haze of rage and hunger, Drake's human side is still partially there. It's possible to reach to that sliver of humanity still dormant within him, but only briefly.
- In the few moments Drake is remotely lucid, he becomes briefly overwhelmed with guilt and horror at his actions. Unfortunately, these moments are always short-lived, since his grief and guilt soon turns to rage, and sends him right back into his ravenous frenzy.
- Drake doesn't sleep so much as he does 'shut down' for a few hours. His brain goes completely dormant, almost appearing shut down by any ordinary CAT Scans.
- Drake still speaks, but his speech pattern boils down to short sentences, either growled or screamed at the top of his lungs.
- Playing to his primal drive to become human again, villains like Cadmus are able to manipulate Drake with relative ease into doing his bidding.
- When he was human, Drake's need to protect stemmed from being unable to save his younger brother who, tragically, perished when the two were mugged when Drake was walking his kid brother home from school. His parents never forgave him for failing to keep his baby brother safe...
